Audie Awards 2014!

30 May

2014 Audie Award FinalistsThe winners of the 2014 Audie Awards were announced today!  I’ve sort of been following the event, and so awaited the announcements with interest.  Yesterday, the Audie Awards were held in New York City.  The Audies are usually described as being the Oscars of audiobooks.  Among the finalists were Focus on the Family’s audio dramatization of “Oliver Twist“; “Unveiled: Tamar,” by Francine Rivers (read by Barbara Rosenblat); “The Complete Sherlock Holmes,” by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (read by Simon Vance); “Frankenstein,” by Mary Shelley (read by Dan Stevens); “The Great Gatsby,” by F. Scott Fitzgerald (read by Jake Gyllenhaal); plus several others read by Katherine Kellgren.

You can view the winners and listen to excerpts here!  To see a complete list of all the finalists, you can view it online in the latest AudioFiles magazine.
